This week began TIME appealing, a new iPhone and Android app that we use to provide augmented reality to find pioneering and virtual reality experiences. The first is the TIME Moon Landing experience that most accurate 3D recreation of the Apollo 11 mission that took place 50 years ago this month. In essence, the incredibly meticulously accurate data experience over the past 20 years collected by John Knoll, Chief Creative Officer and senior visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light and Magic, founded a top Hollywood special effects company of George Lucas. “I’m old enough to remember the landing of Apollo 11 live to see as a child,” says Knoll who gave their details to TIME. “That really left a big impression on me. In the following years I was always fascinated with the space program.” Knoll began a transcript of radio conversations between the spacecraft and mission control after stumbling Apollo 11 landing Collect data . These transcripts, he says, have stressed the harrowing few minutes just before the lander “Eagle” on the lunar surface mounted when running dangerously low on fuel. In that time, says Knoll, he was largely in Apollo polished over 11 documentaries of his youth. “Read in timestamped transcripts, this time thrilling,” he says.
