California Rep. Katie Porter Congress schools with a white border

About ten years ago, he called to ask Kamala Harris on Elizabeth Warren for a bit. It was the chaotic period after the Great Recession, and Harris, then California Attorney General, he needed a recommendation for someone who could manage the money the complicated task of monitoring the settlement that the big banks for the creation and burst-backed securities by infamous mortgage he had paid the bladder. “I said, ‘Talk to Katie Porter’,” he says Warren recalls Harris. Today, as Porter first term as congressman for the 45th District of California comes to an end, their reputation as a tough leader and sometimes play remains intact.
