Carlos Ghosn, now escaped was an electric car Visionary

One of the most riveting news last week was to let the former president of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn Japan and fly to Lebanon. Ghosn has been accused of financial crimes and had to face as a result of a study in April; apparently he jumped to his bail. Before Ghosn disgraced, it was regarded in many circles as a major force for good in the efforts to mitigate climate change. As Ghosn has helped to kickstart the revolution EV E ‘it was one of the first car manufacturers to support for electric vehicles. In fact, a key factor behind Ghosn is the push-to-partner Nissan, a Japanese manufacturer more than 80 years with Mitsubishi, a young Japanese and Renault car company, a century-old French company, the three companies have had to bring engineering expertise to be the market positioning and corporate resources with the world leader in what he saw as the future. Under Ghosn, he has spent the Renault-Nissan Alliance Mitsubishi billion dollars to develop the Nissan LEAF, the Renault Zoe, and the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The leaf, in particular, was iconic: launched in 2010 to life, which revolutionized the passenger EV industry and remains one of the best-selling cars on the plug-in market. It would be in 2011. Ghosn predicts that by 2020 electric cars will account 10% of the world market. Unfortunately, we have fallen behind Ghosn timeline; in 2018, the number fell somewhere between 1-2%. However, the world’s car fleet is on its way to the electrification, sales increased by 75% EV 2017 to 2018, and the first figures suggest that in 2019 continued this tendency was a visionary Ghosn. However, as the Financial Times reported earlier this year, other Nissan executives believe that Ghosn went too in its efforts to push the sheet to potential car buyers. Former President and CEO of Nissan Hiroto Saikawa told FT that “What really destroyed the value of the product LEAF was when we significantly reduce the rental price for LEAF in the US Since then, Leaf that car for a discount.” Meanwhile, a new operator EV more clearly Tesla market has positioned itself as a luxury car, based on the US rich buyers and China, largely thanks to government sticks and carrots, domestic manufacturers have driven a market growing middle class cornered. Given this competition, the partnership between Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi already began to crack when Ghosn was arrested in November 2018. In fact, at the time, Ghosn would try hard at work to bring Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in the crease, in largely as a bulwark against the EV wave, even though he had expected, Ghosn was not able to collect the talent and resources effectively to drive. (Fiat is the only traditional automakers that electric vehicles makes more than 10% of total car sales.) This agreement ultimately collapsed in June 2019 provided as FCA issued a statement that it was “clear that the political conditions France currently not there for such a combination of continuous success. “FCA has instead signed a contract with PSA in France, makes Peugeot. Nissan’s future as electric carmaker At this point, the automotive trajectory toward the electrification feels almost inevitable. And so the success (and also the vitality) of Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi may seem irrelevant, even if the group is doing to plan the launch of eight new electric models by 2020, in any case, could be an interesting lesson. Ghosn idiosyncrasies and common sense and magnetism controversy reminds me of another leader in the world of electric vehicles: Elon Musk. I do not have access to the documentation and testimony that I presume, have an educated call, even if Ghosn is guilty of the crimes for which he is accused, and of course I have in any way to confuse means of illegal or unethical action iconoclasm. The Ghosn Saga and Musk mercury behavior, but combined with their quixotic efforts but-kind-of-success make me think that we complicated else to do it, we-people even say on the way to a zero emissions future.
